On July 7, the Embassy of India in Moscow organized the Aamrus 2023 Indian Mango Festival at Expocentre in Moscow, where all guests could communicate with major mango suppliers and taste this juicy fruit.

For reference: India is the fifth largest exporter of mangoes in the world, producing about 25 million tons of mangoes, exporting about 175 thousand tons. The main export direction is the countries of the Middle East (Saudi Arabia, UAE).

Vasily Lavrovsky, adviser to the Head of the Rosselkhoznadzor, noted that Russian consumers are already well acquainted with Indian products - tea and coffee, spices, seasonal vegetables and fruits, but Indian mango is practically not represented in Russia.

The International Council has reached an agreement to post information on potential Indian mango exporters in the near future.

The opening ceremony of the Indian Mango Festival was attended by the Minister of Horticulture and Agricultural Export of the State of Uttar Pradesh, Mr. Singh Dinesh Pratap, the Indian Ambassador to the Russian Federation, Mr. Pawan Kapoor and other honored guests.
